If i remember right, in the pre-sky plus days all you needed for mutli-room was a twi receiver bit on the front of the dish with two cables coming out of it, run one to one box, and one to the other. Sky plus now required two cables in itself, so if you have sky plus you could sacrifice that and use one cable for another box.

But if that link is for the thing that sits on the front of the dish, and allows you to connect 3/4 cables to it, then yes, you will be able to set up an additional box without any problems afaik.

yeah, it a new bit for the dish with 4 cables. but will sky be able to detect that i have another box in the house?

that would be a problem lol though you could get a clone of yours done if you have any market stall phone unlocking type places around where you are, i have known a couple of these that will clone a sky card. but not seen anything like this for a while.

Its the sky card your paying for every month unless your happy to take your existing on between rooms (sky boxes). They also charge you to come and install the second box so you'll be saving something by doing it yourself. Also a point to note is removing your card will wear it out as they advise you to leave it in your box and when it does start to play up they'll charge you for a new one, I've encountered most of these problems with Sky and found them the most unhelpful people in the world unless you are giving them your money.

but is it possible to 'clone' the card and use it in 2 boxes in the same houshold?

Hope you can get this sorted dude. Reminds me of the analogue/pre sky digital and on-digital days :D

well i hope it works, it should work in theory, but in practice is another matter. nothing's ever straight forward for me.
