me and a mate had just been to stapley water gardens to get some fishing stuff, probably 20 miles from home we were coming down a long sum what empty road c.d player on pritty loud, approaching a aroundabout theres a mk3 astra van half way round the roundabout as im ready to go into the roundabout drop it into 3rd and heard the most horrible stomach turning banging n rattling. the guy pokes his head out of the van n shouts want a tow, i thought it most be bad if he can here it aswell.
i pulled in behind him an a lad i know who owns this c20let corsa steps out,

hed just been to pick a gsi bonnet up for his van, he towed me all the way home, and laughed when i offerd him something for the favour, ive only known the lad for bout 8 months, TOP LAD! n i dont see him much either.
was pritty funny to be honest!
so the engines coming out tomorrow, and the search will be on for a new engine, ah the joys of a modded car!!!

What engine have you killed and at what speed did you drop it into 3rd? tbh ive thrashed the living daylight out of std 1.2s and never had any hassle, same with my old 1.0 that had 4 years of constant abuse and nothing ever broke!

My 1.2 is always abused and has only skipped a beat once.

it's 20seh 2.0 8v, how ben? those engines are bullet proof mine had had a lot of stick since iv'e had it and still never missed a beat, what ya doing with the old engine when it comes out?

probably 100mph ish?? looks like a conrods come through the block, theres no point stripping it to find out but there a nasty hole in the front of the block.. whipped the engine out today took about 3 hours with 3 brew brakes n chatting to my old man in between. just going to get another 20seh cant be fooked with anything else its a strat swap once i get another engine this way.

yh bout 100 maybe less wasnt concentrating on the speedo but there abouts, was testing my green stuff pads out just gettin them nice n warm, chucked it in 3rd abit too early me thinks.
bought a bad boy 106 1.5 diesel for £150 2 months tax n test, 120 miles on £15 worth of diesel so im happy running round in that for a bit lol
