check the rear boot floor, lift the carpets up, the back on my mates was non exsistant, replaced half the boot floor, rear chassis rail going across the back of the car. the rear arches go inside the door shuts too.

my mate had one, awesome motors. But seem to break easy and parts are rare

check anywhere made of metal, they rot for fun!!!

^ agreed!

Particulary where the bottom of the windscreen meets the chassis, the rear doors are common for rotting out inside etc etc. Make sure every panel is straight, it take upto 6 months for them to arrive in the UK if you buy new ones.

These motors are very prone to ringing due to the rarity of a mint one, check and re-check all the VIN and engine numbers.

If you do buy it, dont break it!! There fragile as funk and dont take constant abuse very well (mechanicals)

Yellow evo spec ones are the daddies, always wanted one, with the grey leather. A mate had a one, none evo and it was **** :( as said, awesome rot box! check everywhere!!
I had to make do with my 1/10 scale Kyosho works rally car lol
There's a performance garage about 20 miles away that has an evo spec, multipoint cage, light pod, looks like a tarmac spec rally car from what I can see/know. Awesome.

Is it a 2wd turbo or a full-on integrale (or even an evo model)? I have a Retro cars mag with the number of a place which specialises in the sales of Deltas and parts for them if you don't have it already. If you want I'll scan it, probably best to email me on djvbarlow@hotmail.com mate

Love all the comments about Integrale's and Evo this, that and the other, and it turns out to be the standard Delta!!!!!

I had a 1600 16v turbo (its called a HF turbo for the record).

I got told to check around the front and rear window for rust. Also check the sunroof, sills - under the skirts (careful the skirts dont come off in your hands). Also the speedo was dodgy on mine I dont know if this is a common thing or not.

They are AWESOME cars.
Handling his spot on, similar to the nova and pretty much the same as a mk2 astra GTE. The acceleration is enough to pin you into your seat - 'slow down your you'll go back in time' ****. The only bad thing about them is they guzzle fuel, I was putting in a tenner a day.

Mine was solid - didnt break once until it got written off after a motorbike ploughed straight into the side of it :(

Sure about this? Because I'm certain they're 8V (as was the original Integrale)

Pin you in your seat?! When I drove one, I thought it was on a par with a Nova GSI, certainly didn't pin ME into my seat!

What else have you driven? After all, Nova's and Astra's handle like $hit so that's not a brilliant comparison really!!

If you get chance, try driving a Pug 205 1.9 GTI, a Renault Clio 172, maybe a Focus ST170 or a 2002 Civic Type R, they are probably the best-handling front-wheel drive cars I've ever driven. . . . . Oh and Pug 106 Rallye!

My mate as a proper Integrale he's about to sell. Total rust bucket that has been sat on his drive for 6 years, was mint though, once upon a time.

There was a little known 4wd version of the Delta turbo. My mate had one, didnt know it was rare til he tried insuring it.

Get some pics up.

I gotta say that kit looks gash. I prefer it standard.

I bought mine from some rally speicalist in Tring - I dont know if it was modified or not. As for a Nova GSi mine was certainly quicker.

Tbh i think novas and astras handle really well. As for 205 pugs - they handle the same as a nova?! Anyways thats my opinion.
