Can anyone enlighten me on the best way of doing this. I seem to see loads of smooth tailgates for sale but never any modified bumpers. I want to keep it looking as original as possible but all the recesses i see in other bumpers wouldn't look right. I'm going to be attempting it on a pov spec mk2 and I'm sure I've seen some good ones over the years on clean cars
Thanks

Sort of see what your saying that's what I think I'm going to have to try. It just a shame novas aren't 'ten a penny' in scrap yards anymore or I'd just keep trying until I got it right

Take your number plate to the local garden centre and look at the window boxes, cut a plastic window box down to size and fibre glass it to your bumper

That could be quiet useful thanks if I can make it look slightly less stuck on

you could get the one above, then bond it on from behind, so theres no the ulgy lip around the out sides.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, also Benn can I ask what colour your bumpers are painted?
