F18 Box With C20xe

Hello ive bought a c20xe motor and its got an f18 box with it can any one tell me if these are any good together i was looking at an f20 but ill wait for some advice before i go spending ive seen the f18 on vectras and diesles

I've got one on my ecotech 2.0 vectra. They are I'm afraid well known for spitting their diff's out due to knackered bearings, though that's normally due to the abuse they get from the crappy TC system that vecs have. The selectors tend to wear out quickly too.

Bearing in mind that an XE nova weighs a good 400kg's less than a vectra though, and won't have TC, it should last a good while I'd have thought.

And the F18 hydrulic box fitted to the vectras was far weaker than the cable driven version found in the calibras and astras, there quite a good gearbox.

Know loads of vectra owners swapped the internals from the f18 cable to there hydrulic ones.

Goes to look up part numbers on EPC to see how different the internals are......
