Nova SR Vynal - finished...

Right as many of you know I've been working on making complete templates sets for the vynal for my SR.

I think I've finished them. I'd be grateful for your feedback before I send them off to get made up. Let me know anything you think I've missed...

Hopefully the place I'm getting it done will do us a club deal...

On all images the black is NOT the finished colour but an indicator of the area the vynal will cover. I think the black can be specified to any colour - quite fancy carbon fibre...I'll be sending a sample of my vynal off for reference (early grey not blue grey).

Rear boot vynal. This is exactly the same font as the SR. The vynal doesnt have the wiper hole (deliberate) and has the overlaps that go under the window rubber and spoiler wrap.

Vauxhall Bonnet Badge. Again this is traced from the actual badge.

Side panels. These are made up of the front wing, door and rear 1/4 with sill. 3 panels like the originals. The door has 8mm overlap around the edges. the wing also has overlaps to cover arch lip and back edge as well as the underside. the rear 1/4 has arch lip and 2cm that rolls under the sill and along the door edge on the upper sill as well as overlap to go under front wing. Spacing in the pic is deliberate.

B Pillar. Is made up of 4 sections. The only bit I'm not 100% sure about is the rear 1/4 overlap but I've made it a little larger just incase. All sections allow for slight (5mm) overlaps.

I'm expecting some minor trimming - around rear 1/4 corners, b pillars etc but nothing major...

Thanks to Novacabrio - the side top edges have indentations that allow for the sticky back on the bump strips to touch the paint - will add these in.

And I know I cant spell vynal -vinyl!

Any ideas of prices yet, I know a couple of people that would want the sr taliagte vinyl as the guy that made mine up a while back doesnt do it anymore.

Spoke to Roseanne today and I'll be sending the data to her very soon. Shes asked me to vector the images to ensure theyre super sharp...theyre currently on photoshop format at 300dpi...

Wont know prices until she gets the info but basically I'm making up the whole set. not sure if she'll split it. Also asked if there's a discount for club members...(cheeky!)

hopefully - I dont see why you cant choose any vynal colour available - I fancy carbon fibre effect if it can be done!

When I had my taligate vinyl made up I had a look through the colour charts and picked out a medium dark grey and I think it looked fine.

Was hard to tell otherwise as no one had a mint boot vinyl to copy at the time.
