egay mate - what exactly do you want it to record/take pics of.

Fot a samera I'd go for a compact and rid a cable release system so you can take pics whilst you drive. Mount it to the dash or on a cross bar between the front seats.

That will give you an idea of the stuff out there. Then go look for a cheaper version of what you fancy.

Bax - I have a off road terrain bullet cam for sale if your interested, i bought it for external mounting on my car for trackdays, but never used it.

Fully waterproof, shockproof & bounce-proof, tested it in my friends fishtank.

Good quality stuff, and best part is the memory is SD card, so if you buy a 2gb SD card, you have best part of 30hours recording on it.

I use my Nikon digi camera which is vid and audio capable, with a 2 gb card t takes over an hour of 640x480 which is more than adequate. It also needs no converting to get on to a PC, just cut and paste.

As its light i mount it using a £6 maplin sucker (well it was £6 when i got it http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=45383&criteria=camera%20mount&doy=7m8 )

Bare in mind these have been reduced down for easy upload so org quality is better.
