I have been starving all morning. Waiting for 11:30 when the sandwich delivery van comes round from the local bakery - been fancying an "all day breakfast" sandwich.

Van arrives, i go to the car and get my wallet. No money! Sh*t. I could have sworn i had a fiver in there at least.

10 minutes later i check my pocket and find the fiver in there, not in my wallet. GGGrrrrrr!!!

Like if buying a burger from McDonalds, ask for no gurkin(sp) and they make you a fresh one, takes a while tho.

Box with tower ftw. Plus popcorn chicken. I cannot abide the Zing, although I'm sure they still do the zinger twister round these parts.

Normally these days I hold off the KFC until I'm off on a jaunt somewhere (Gütersloh tomorrow, so I may have one on the way to the tunnel. And possibly also on the way back), as that way I can stuff my face and make the taxpayer pay for it :D

The wife made me some sandwiches this morning. Very kind of her.

However...

I had a quick bite of one earlier this morning and whatever the filling is that she put into them its absolutely VILE!!! I cant eat them. I will be going out to buy something again a little later.

I have no idea. From the look of it i would say its from one of those jars of sandwich filler - you know, chicken and bacon with a sauce type stuff around it - but whatever it is its terrible. Really terrible. I will consult the jar when i get home... just before i launch it down the street lol

wisewood

LMFAO!!!!!! Yeah i've NEVER eaten coronation chicken. Ever.

It'll be the mayo they put in the filler wise one, I can't stand shop-bought sandwiches that have mayo in, when I make up my own egg mayo I always go 50/50 with mayo and salad cream (and a bit of english mustard), it's a vast improvement.

Nope. The saucyness was fine. There is "something" in it.

wisewood
07-08-08, 08:56 PM
something edible which i dont like lol not a toenail.

Turns out it was "chicken with salad vegetables". So whatever i didnt like was likely to be a vegetable - which for anyone who knows me this will come as little surprise. me and veg dont get on.

Homemade Coronation chicken is awesome. Don't add raisins *heave* and you can make it as curryish as you like :)

I like hot brie and bacon baguettes, ham salad sandwiches or white bread with salad cream and quavers :D Hold the butter though *yuk!*
