View Full Version : ecu question
yello, ive got a GX ecu can someone tell me if this is lamda or pre-lamda ??
problem is ive got a c20 xe running no lamda and im using a GX ecu, its got a misfire to it when at high revs its like it has low fuel pressure and back fires, ive checked everything else and this is the only thing i think it can be ..........
cheers
Has the ECU got a sticker on it with a part number?
You can earth out (i think its pin 22?) and it will ignore the lambda, would need setting up properly with the mixture screw on the air flow meter though.
Have you got the eml connected up?
Get the bosch part number off it

so as ive got my lambda earthed out i should use the FQ one???
I dont know what the fx one is too tbh.
If its running fine with no ecu lamp on, its all good

so providing you have the lambda sensor earthed out you could use either.
it seems to run fine with either but ive only driven up and down in 1st and 2nd so it could be different on the road!!
the bosch number is 0 261 200 479
no eml as its in my old kadett c, and your lucky to get indicator lights, lol
the bosch number is 0 261 200 479
Cav GSi w/ cat according to the list on migweb (http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/engines-transmission/165122-name-ecu%60s.html)
1. FX 0206200191 i have 2 of these, one is chipped
2. GQ 0261200475
1 = not sure, there's a 0 261 200 191 which is Cav GSi w/o cat
2 = Calibra 2.0 16v w/ cat
