Big exhaust

Hi i just got a 4 inch rage exhaust and was wonderin if it really will make me lose power? at the moment i got a 2.5 inch peco powermaster and its fine just want a louder exhaust.

Its something you will grow out of IMO.

Yep, sticking a loud exhaust on a small engined car just makes you look daft, and you can tell from the sound that the car still has a 1.2 or whatever.

If you want proper noise, a set of carbs will do the job nicely, you don't need a loud exhaust when you've got twin 40's whirring and roaring under the bonnet.

Thats the issue with small engines & loud pipes. It takes forever for the noise to disappear out of ear shot.

A ferrari V10 will wail past for about 10 seconds. A 1.2 Nova with a Peco will still be droning away in the next street for about 2 minutes!

cut the peco open and take the baffles out loud but dont look stupid

mite do that tbh. i dont want a stupidly loud exhaust jus somethin louder than what i got now. makes no noise at all until higher revs

i got 1.2. only noise is k&n really jus a little burble from exhaust i really want somethin bit louder. i try keepin revs low but get bored doin that lol

when i fitted a janspeed back box it was quiet then one day it popped and has been loud ever since

i had janspeed before and that was quieter than standard box. the peco came off a m8s nova was quite loud on that but quiet on mine. his was a 1.2 as well and both got same exhaust system as well. thats y im annoyed with it being quiet

I drove my corsa round with no exhaust for a few weeks and i was the coolest person round here.

i have oem exhaust with a remus backbox on my 1.2 daily nova. (Spi)

it makes a deeper sound, without waking the neightbours when i got to work at 05:30.

youre only allowed to make noise when running a XE lol

i didnt record my first start with the XE :( only the exhaust manifold, no lamba, stock ecu and 280 cams make big bangs lol
