Sunday morning I was driving down to my parents to get a lift with a friend to ford fair. coming round a bend which i would normally take at 70 but as it was the morning and there was light drizzle i was taking it slow and was going 50. as i went round the novas backend lost grip I tryed correcting and it went otherway tryed correcting again and it spun causing me and my nova to go down a ditch sideways facing backwards and then continue spining across a field until ending up still facing backwards. luckily i was unhurt (bar a stiff neck/back today) and that it didnt roll and there were no other obsticals/cars. so got out and had a look around at the damage took some photos (as you do) and then limped it very carefully (at about 10miles an hour) the last 3 miles left to my parents house (where it is now sat). got in the car with my friend and had a great day at ford fair (no point not going as i would only be sat at my parents upset that i had ruined my car) and got some great ideas for my next car (whatever it may be)
so here are the photos:

close up of front end damage.

Im so gutted as i have bent the front slam panel and front cross member, n/s wing, wishbone, tie rod/steering and seems it has twisted the rear aswell (shifed over to one side) unfortunatly i dont have the time to sort it all out so gunna selling all parts and the engine (with shell) cheap
before the damage above it only had some rust in front panel and a small amount on the n/s rear arch also a bit on bottom of drivers door and thats it. engine is still good (1.2 carb with 91000miles on the clock)

Exactly, who would want to photoshop their car in a field anyway?

You got off lightly if ya ask me.

Could have easily gone into the field and rolled.

doesnt look to bad considering you lost control at 50. as for getting grip on wet grass and flipping, dont think so

All it takes is for the wheel to be sliding and to hit a ditch in the ground and then it's all over.

But if you say so it must be true.
