I hope u realise that for ?950 you've brought a piece of paper, and if your lucky you'll have a piece of paper you'll never use.

I cant believe it cost u almost ?1000 to insure a ?70 car for 1 yeat on TPFT

Whats the point in having the driving age limit at 17 if a 17 yr old cant afford to insure their car fully?

Only real benefit is you can build up NCB dead early.

I passed my test at 26 - my 1.2 mk2 cost me ?393 fully comp for 1st 12 months. Now ok, I was 26 but I was no better on the road than a 17 year old. I had 2 smashes in the 1st year - both my fault. My insurance jumped to ?900 fully comp after the second (no NCB) and thats in Glasgow - car crime capital of the universe (so I'm told)

Thats still less that what you are paying for a 1 ltr on TPFT.

logical? - bag a sh1te if u ask me.

When i was givin rightful a hand searching for insurance it turns out that my 1.2 was about 300 quid cheaper to insure than his 1.0 :D
I'm only paying 836.44 Fully Comp on my 1.2 and i'm 17

well after getting some whopping quotes of 1500 and 1600 online i phoned LV today

for myself 17(18 by the time the renewal comes up), full license for 4 months, and rear ended someone writing off his car, on TPFT theyve quoted ?1100

i paid ?1050 for my current insurance which was under me DA's name so i was royally bumped there

they also want an extra ?40 to include any body mods, any suspension mods and alloy wheels

so im definetly happy with that and the best thing is if i wanna plop in me 1.4 engine it simply goes down as an "ENGINE MOD" so should cost next to F-All
