as the title suggests lol. on building my xe which will be fitted with carbs, already have lightened and balanced rods and arp rod bolts but want to go a lot further with it, engines in bits so may as well do everything i can now rather than having to strip it again. what sort of power gains am i looking at from fitting pocketed pistons and a pretty lairy cam kit? and what cams would i be best running? want something useable on the road not just a drag special making nothing up until 5k. not bothered about high tickover etc. i will be fitting uprated valve springs (anyone recommend any?) and what rpm will it take reliably on std hydraulic lifters? or should i be looking at going for solid ones? not looking to rev into oblivion, just want good usable power and some sort of reliability. i know its a lot of questions but dont wanna waste all my money and end up with an engine that runs like a bag of sh*t and make no more power than standard, its my first bash at tuning an xe

was looking at these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pair-of-NEWMAN-Cams-Astra-C20XE-Rally-Car-Track-Escort_W0QQitemZ200242507869QQcmdZViewItem?hash=it em200242507869&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318 but clueless about duration, lift etc. forgot to mention i will be running vernier adj. pulleys as well, know these are needed to get it running perfect
