says its for 1600 but will fit 1400 is this true, or would you just pass on them ? cheers

technically yes since the SRI head has round ports and the 1.6 heads have round ports....

but then add in the alternator lowering, new ign system as the ECU wont run right with the inlet removed etc etc than you might aswell get mappable managment and mod the car that way :D the SRI is a craking engine and dosent need the gheyness of carbs lol

Well said. I wouldnt mind betting you'd gain a touch more peak power (few bhp) but would lose some low end torque & driveability. The flat low end added to the peaky top end will feel like it has about 150bhp, though tbh the car will be no quicker than it is now...

Dont bother IMO.
