I LOVE sandwiches. Sandwiches are probably the most versatile food in the world... they go with everything.

I just had a roast chicken and stuffing sandwich. Was very nice. I am a big fan of chicken in sandwiches, because chicken is also versatile and can be flavoured differently depending on your mood.

Yesterday i had chicken and cheese - chedder i think - which was very nice.

Chicken is indeed a fave of mine. Cold with salad cream :)

I also like a bit of cheddar and pickle now and again.

I am quite keen on the Subway Italian BMT too.

Oh - and "all day breakfast" sandwiches. Anything with sausage egg and bacon in it has to be a good thing!

depends whether you like the sandwich or not lol

We have a sandwich van that comes round to work from the local bakery place, freshly made sandwiches etc. Some really nice stuff on there. Crab, cheese and ham, egg mayo, tuna, the aforementioned all day breakfast. I would eat one of each if i had the cash lol

harsh. ketchup butties are perfect. No butter. just bread and ketchup. Fold in half. Eat. Continue playing in the street with your mates until it gets dark. Brilliant summer memories attributed to ketchup sandwiches.

For work I have sandwich fillers. Either :-

Corrination Chicken
Chicken & Sweetcorn
Chinesse Chicken
Curry
(Seems to be a poultry theme going on there)

However I am a serial sandwhicher and so will sandwhich ANYTHING! Although I am trying to give it up to lose some weight.

Other fillings I like, but not for work (will not include the obvious chicken, ham etc) :-

Findus crispy pancake
Fish finger
Mashed up onion burger & cheese
Super noodles (Any flavor)
Mash potato
Chineese takeaway (Beef & mushrooms, special chop suey)
Chips (Like mash but crispier)

But in general whatever comes on a plate for dinner goes in to a sandwhich.

I take it no one saw the telly program about what really goes in to your sarnies then!

Subways Meatball Marinara is so full of salt its equilavent to 18 packets of crisps!

Subway and Greggs are the fattiest of all of them and I'll NEVER buy any sarnies from petrol stations after they did an undercover in a sarny factory!

I make my own - I love proper butchers ham, tomato, lettuce (not iceberg) and either mayo or a sweet pepper relish. Has to be on thick brown bread

^ I did :p

I looked into it a while back, Subway is worse for you than a Mcdonalds, KFC and Burger King (in fact, out of those three, KFC is the best for you).

One slice of toast with nutella and another with peanut butter, squash them together and enjoy :)
Fans of star bars will like them :thumb:

Surely this depends on which option you go for... some options at subway are a lot more healthy than others. Same with McDonalds and Burger King. KFC same applies. its what you order that makes the difference.

True, but most of the subway menu is pretty bad - including their "healthier" options.

wisewood
31-07-08, 04:16 PM
but at least if you eat at subway every day you can get some variety in your diet - how much variety can you get from KFC? Chicken sir? Would you like chicken with that?

Jack
31-07-08, 04:19 PM
Chicken, mouse, rat, dog, hospital waste - its a positive KFC roulette

Local BK was shut down because the health inspectors came in and found all sorts of stuff, gave them a couple of weeks to get it sorted. Came back only to find all the old problems, plus the addition of a maggot infested rat in the cooking area. Awesome!!!
