I have put a 40mm spring kit on uprated dampers, but it was too high, then i put 60mm springs on the same dampers and it's still giving me nosebleeds.:wtf: does anyone know what i can do next, im thinking of coilovers but is this the only way. The back is really bad if i can just correct this i will be happy.

Me and a friend resorted to this so if there is anybody who is 20s who i can hire out for life to lay in the boot for £20 pm me. No nova were hurt during the making of this picture.

try clamping the rear springs but it will be bumpy

Coilovers are the only real safe way to lower your car lots and lots... Failing that weight would als do the same but increase fuel costs and reduce performance.

Coilovers FTW

They are allready 195-45 don't really want any lower than that, it would make the space in between the wheel and arch look a lot bigger.

I'll sit in the boot for £20 per mile. Its cheaper than fuel!

My old 2-door used to sit lower than that at the back on just -40mm G-max springs. Fab up some turrets for the rear and go coilies.

Just curious, what offset are those wheels? The front looks to be sitting quite a long way out.

How hard are turrets to do, do you have to have spot on (like micron meters) with the mesurments.

Not too sure, i can find out later if you want to know.

will need coilovers or custom springs chap.

The round wheel arches sit higher than normal ones which doesn't help.

This is what they look like with the wheel touching the top of the arch...

Within mm's will be fine, afterall, nova's were originaly built to within 5mm!

Cut out th bit of inner arch where the damper recess is, cut a notch out of the chassis leg, then basicly rebuild it further in than it was, and add a bit of strenghtening to the mount on the beam.

just get some custom springs made up. iv had both 80mm and 100mm. they work perfectly fine and aslong as the offset is right, ul have no problems

custom springs is what you want. about 120mm will have it sitting properly

Aye, just get coilsprings to make some springs up.
No point going coilovers unless you want height adjustability

I still maintain thats not 40mm.

Just fit bigger tyres, they will make your life complete.

Bigger tyres = cooler car.

Monster truck = big tyres = cool.

Pink scooter = small tyres = not cool.

My dads old automatic boat-tastic Omega with 13inch alloys (looked like it anyway) and balloon tyres on = bigger tyres = not cool at all lol
