Gibbos nova peoject

Hi all got my nova yesterday. this is my first project on novaload
The car come with nothing at all accept a bonnet and bumpers and boot and the door glass.
The car.. the car needs a lot of work abit of rust on the engine bay. Looks like it had a smash on the driver’s side at some time (maybe that’s why it went off the road the man told me the cams were bent the engine fell on one side. He cut two of brake pipes off why I don’t know as shown in pics. I will have a look at the car more tomorrow and let you know more..

No don’t think so abit of welding but thats about it .what about were the drivers side smash do I could fix it up or get a new panel.? putting new engien in tho

Looks like a blank canvas. Just get a whole front panel on it. and do a bit of hammering. is it soild on the rear chassis etc?

ye i think i will buy a front upper panel or all front panel for it. dont know tell i have a good look tomorrow

I'd stick a full front panel on it mate just to be sure

Aye not far off mate - My full front panel inc cross-member was about £65

dident get time to day to look at the nova but im going down tomorrow

Well I took all my tools down to nova today and started striping down the engine bay ready for new engine and welding and new front panel ect. Tomorrow I will start grinding all the rust off and the spot welds.
Stript the suspension down ready for resprayd ect..
Had a little look round the car. There was not a lot of rust I could see.

just thinking if i put a bigger engien like 2.0l 8v or 1.8l can i use the same suspension i think gmax or sumthink eles will let u knwo

Aye you can mate if you buy a full front panel it works out cheaper than a full one

thanks mate.dont no yet thinking about the 1.6 gsi or 2.0l 8v but if i put the 2.0l in i dont no if i have to put diffrent suspension in or not

Your suspension will work with any engine. But If you go for anything bigger than a 1600, it might be very bouncy. But you can buy higher poundage, harder front springs for using with a 2.0 engine conversion.

for sale got new bonnet and wings got wings off a gsi.dont come with that boot or them windows got some standed ones
