I’ve had this car for a few months to run about in whilst my other was being repaired. Now I have my other one back, this is up for sale;

- The car has done genuine 27,000 miles with history to back it up

- The car is totally original in terms of bodywork and has had no previous weld or repair

- The shell is completely mint with no rust whatsoever and underneath is equally solid

- Engine is completely standard

- Lowered 60mm on G-max shocks and springs

- 2.0L 256mm front brakes setup with recent mintex pads

- The car has been fitted with GSi bumpers, side skirts and spoiler

- The rear arches have been professionally rolled and sprayed and the wheels don’t catch atall

- All arches have been waxoyld underneath

- It has full MINT GSi interior including front/ rear seats and door cards, dashboard, steering wheel and electric windows setup

- Also has Astra GTE Digi-dash with mileage adjusted to match cars original mileage

However…

There is a slight problem. The engine suddenly started knocking one night after loosing it’s oil. I have no idea how or why this happened as the oil was checked a week or so before and was fine. So the car now has a knocking bottom end when the engine gets warm. The car still drives OK but not sure how much longer this will last. I have bought another low mileage 1.2 engine to go straight into it. This will be included in the sale for free if wanted.

The engine swap would only take a few hours to do with someone who knows these cars well. The only reason I don’t want to do this myself is I'm not competent enough to take on an engine conversion yet and don’t have the time and patience to wait weeks for someone else to do it. It could be sold and someone have it done and fixed in no-time instead of it just sitting in my garage. The car would even be ideal for someone wanting to do an XE conversion etc.

The car comes with MOT but is currently SORN (I could tax it if required).

I’m looking for £1000 without the Speedlines and £1300 with. The Speedlines are in top condition with brand new Khumo fronts and Khumo rears with lots of tread.

Sensible offers considered. PM me if you are interested in the car and have any questions.
