Can I ask for some help people!

Are the 1600 16v really that much trouble, and should I stay clear of them, I really dont know what to go for??

What engines go "straight in"?as I know there's quite a bit of modification for a 2.0XE and LET

Any smallblock engine+gearbox will bolt straight in, and fit your existing nova driveshafts. The 8V MPI engines have an almost entirely contained engine loom, so are pretty easy to wire in.

The 1600 16v are a good engine, you just need to maintain them as you would any other.
