Saw that on the news yesterday. Terrible loss of life, especially considering he'd just helped another injured soldier to safety.

he had just collected an injured friend from a firefight, the ambulance also hit a landmine on the way to the chopper, then he was killed by a roadside bomb on the way back to camp!

gutted isnt the word!

Gutter to hear that. Sounds like the bloke was a top guy, not many people have the guts to do what he did.
I know how you feel mate, i lost 3 mates when i was still in The Black Watch to suicide bombers.

RIP Jason.

They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

Very Fitting mate
and truly appreciated

Ive lost friends before, from way back when i was in the Royal Marines.
I left and joined the Air Force, and since then on tours i would have been on with them, good friends have fallen.
Still doesnt make it any better though!
