How hard are the corsa engines to mount up into a nova?
Do you need other mounts that the nova ones?
Also do you need anything other than whats on a MPI Nova or out of the corsa?

1L shafts will fit as far as i know.

As said, the conversion is a piece of piss. Plus with a few mods baby valvers can be quite lively too :)

the wirein should be easy for me as ive all ready got a corsa 1.4 sri loom and engine out of a corsa mated to my gsi loom! only thing that worrys me is the transponder! Did Vauxhall do a corsa with out this?:thumb:

Does anybody know for definate if 1.0 OHV shafts will fit gearboxes on 1.2L etc upwards? There seems to be mixed opinions.

Good luck with your plans mate, the 1.6 16V will be worth it for the induction note alone :) .

went and saw the engine last night looks good, sounds bag on the engine is in a corsa gsi does the make it a x16xe or c16xe? need to order a cam belt kit and the lads at work keep winding me up sayin the only did 1.0 12v in corsa bs:thumb: !

Depends on year. Late gsi's had x16xe's

Did the plastic engine cover say "ECOTEC" or "VAUXHALL"?

I have a nova 1.6 16v, I have no transponder, and I've only found 2 wires joined to the nova loom, apart from the red battery live and fuel pump live. I'm removing mine to fit a redtop.

Only 1995on cars had the immobilisers.

All's you need is the ecu, transponder chip out the ignition key(tiny so dont lose it), and the plastic immobiliser pickup that fits around the ignition barrel.

Is the transponder wiring part of the engine loom or dash loom?i take it the ecu sits under the dash in a nova not in the engine bay?:thumb:

On sri/spi it does yeah.
GTE/Most gsi's have ecu in the engine bay.
The immobiliser system is part of the corsa car loom

think im going to be lucky cant find the transponder on the loom, the engine is out of an M reg but im not sure if its a proper Gsi! if it was would it have on just the lads going to scrap the car this week and want to be sure ive got what i need!:thumb:

The Transponder isnt on the loom. If you take off the steering colume surround inside the car it'll be on there. Black Box with a Ring around the ignition/key Barrel. Get it, cut a load of wire leading into it (as much as you can) as you'll need this to wire it.

this corsas the same then cuz the prevous owner lost the keys and it still runs! and theres no extra wires on the plug to the engine loom to do it! maybe there just an imobilier for the starter motor ect?lol

i just used half a barrel that i had lyin about to start it! ill have a look tonight if i can the only thing i can think of is that it been hiden with the chip? is that posible?:wtf:

ive fitted my engine now really impressed with it only thing is cant find the lamber pug so ive got a missfire at 2800 to 3200:( but it still goes well service it so i know thats all ok! does anyone hace a wiring diagram?:thumb:

Its in the side of the exhaust manifold.

ive got one wire on my lamber scenor its a purple wire! looks the same as my 8V?

thats true the wire on my 8v loom is i dentical to the one on the knock scensor could that be the on for my lamber? and ive just wired up wrong? cant post pics as im using the works computer and thats the only internet i have!

The knock sensor plug is nothing like the lambda one.
Knock sensor uses a wide 2 pin plug.

on mine its about 6mm to 10mm wide? i have a horrible feeling that the loom might not be right! but i know for sure the car it came from is a corsa GSi as ive your underrighter to check the reg! lol

Sounds like to me you have a c16xe engine/loom etc etc.
But a x16xe manifold, so you have a one wire lambda sensor, but a 3 wire plug for it on the engine loom itself.
