Corsa probably weighs more, if this was a single point injection 1.4 corsa its not exactly amazingly powerful. And I'm guessing this didn't take place on a drag strip with a green light to set off from...

It was probably a 1.4SP AYE corsa(60hp), and one of those 1.2 16v Puntos(which are 80+hp as std, mental power for a std 1.2)

straight line performance is very rarely a factor when driving cross country, the handling & grip plus the whole dynamic of the car is actually more important

Haha talking about small engine cars being 'quick' i used to have a 1.2 ohc nova, put a k+n on it uprated ht etc. used to pull away from a 2005 1.4 fizbox from lights lol. i even overtook a citren c2 1.6 :). got 115mph from a crappy 1.2 4 speed which i thought was good (at the time).

maybe the fact that i came up behind the c2 with 50mph more than him might of helped :). the fact that the clutch was slipping might of helped (full revs and bang clutch out with no spin) you guys need to upgrade to a 'fooked' clutch ;).

should never make assumptions, just because an engine is bigger doesnt mean it all ways makes more power. For example some 5lt V8's make about 120bph haha
