can you still buy manifold studs from Vauxhall? I need some for my exhaust manifold.

yeah you can, i bought a set last year, also got the nuts, cant remember how much they were though.
There called dowels though :thumb: ask for a complete set of inlet/exhaust manifold dowels ;)
any decent motor factors, & even halfords will stock them, they are only m8

anyone know what length they should be? whoever had done this engine had used threded bar and they were too long by the looks of it.

Yep i had to buy some when we fitted my ashley system because changed to a GTE mani/downpipe.
Cheap as chips.

40mm they are, only got about 2 or 3 tho. Got a full set for an LET but those are 52mm.
Don't think they cost much from Vaux for a set, or you could even try Johnson & Bulman for them ?

99% sure vauxhall still do them- got some for a c25xe a week back, no problems! £15 for studs n nuts?

priced them up at vaux. 56p +VAT each. Part No. 90106924 for reference.
just wondering. As they have 2 threded sections, a long one and a short one, which one goes into the head?
make sure you use loctite on the ends that go into the head
