Fairly easy.

4 screws in side (open door to see them)
2 nuts from underneath (behind glovebox area and behind steering wheel area)
1 screw at bottom behind gear surround if fitted

That should be it to get the main dashboard off. Obviously you'll need to remove the black clock surround and the switches/plugs for everything.

I think Haynes covers it.

HAYNES really explains it all best tbh. But get the central vents & clock out, remove the heater dials & unscrew the centres behind 2 of the knobs (IIRC), take off the headlamp switch binnacle, likewise the clocks & there binnacle, steering wheel out etc & the rest should be obvious.

Just go carefull to avoid snapping brittle plastics & don't forget the heater control cables.

I'm just after removing and refitting my MK2 dash board few days ago to replace a burnt wire. Its pretty straightforward, I think everythings been covered by these kind peoplelol . Remember to put the top screws (close to windscreen) in when refitting, or else the whole dash will hang low, and the cowling wont fit properly :( .

The first time I changed my steering wheel, it involved ALOT of violence, just keep at it. Some are harder to remove than other for some reason. Bang each side of it etc.
