what size bore is a 1.2 carb vauxhall engine?


what size is the stroke on a 1.3 sr nova engine ?


can a 1.3sr or 1.4 sr gearbox be mounted straight on to a 1.2 carb nova engine ?


also do the sr gearboxes have closer ratios then the normal ones found in a 1.2 nova ?


could any other gearboxes be bolted straight on to a 1.2 nova and what would be the advantages in them being installed rather then the standard gearbox ?

most small 8v engines on the nova use f10 gearbox's. these have smaller flywheels than the f13/f15. however you can fit any of the small block gearbox's to your engine with the small flywheel. you cant do it the other way around. i.e a f10 on a gte engine (as the gte engine has the larger flywheel)

not sure on the bore/stroke of the 1.2/13 as i dont have a haynes to hand.

if your after bette performance you can swap to a gearbox with a higher final drive, this will improve acceleration but with the drawback of less top speed.

Right, dont know bout strokes but can help with the boxes.

Both the 1.3 & 1.4 SR boxes will fit (F10)

They do have closer ratios and will make quite a considerable difference on acceleration over the standard box.

My 1.2 drops so badly off the little power it has when it changes gear, just waiting to get hold of a CR box myself.
