Looking for some advice. I dont think my clutch is going yet but I'm finding my car takes a little longer to get to usual speeds (40 etc) - requires a little more pedal power before it gets there. I know it needs tuning and the mix is slightly out (pinking) but I'm wondering if the clutch is starting to slip...

What I want to know is how easy are they to change, can they be done without taking engine/box out etc) and is Haynes manual easy to follow ref this.

Also how much can I expect to pay for new clutch plate etc and ehat tools to I need

I would of thought if your noticing a drop in acceleration, it would more likely to be something with the carberouetter (Spelling ?) rather than the clutch.
Changing the clutch plate is fairly easy, just time consuming.
Haynes will probably tell you the long way to do it rather than the way most people would do it.

Also, i don't think you need any specialist tools for it, but maybe wrong. :)

drive to 30 mph put in top gear and put ur foot down

if it slips and revs rise quick its fooked

if it just bogs down and gradually picks up speed ur ok
