Bike Bodies On Xe

I hav a question im building a highly tuned xe on bike bodies in a nova and iv been thinking,if i use the original bike injector holes with the xe fuel rail and injectors will it make any diferance that the injectors are futher away from the head?

If is going to be highly tuned i expect you have a good budget, so use proper Tb's and Inlet instead of some robbed of a 16'000rpm bike engine ;)

I dont think the xe fuel rail will fit the bike bodies, spacing will be different and theres no way of mounting it?

Its hit or miss if the XE injectors will fit & seal in the holes on the TB's also.

Do it proper or dont bother.

depends what tb's you go for imo. the ones im going to be using will let me use either the xe injectors or the bike one or even both

Trouble with bike TB's is that it requires bespoke parts being made or found & a lot of guesswork.

An off the shelf kit will fit & be proven to xBHP depending on spec.

Unfortunately a random set of bike TB's, lots of time & head scratching + mapping & a fair wodge of cash may only result in 180-190BHP. ie a waste of time unless tinkering is your thing........

Most of the gains available with bike tb's is lost with home built/bodged inlet manifolds.

yea you need a good manifold, but its worth a try if you can get a set a the right price. and if it works out and you get good figures then great

So far engine spec is 1mm oversize valves,double valve sbrings,bronze valve guides,solid lifters,high lift cams,verniers,ported and polish head,steel conrods,omega 87mm high compretion pistons,quaif lsd,gsxr 750 throttle bodies runing on megasquirt v3. All i need to get is the engine balanced and a decent clutch. I am starting a new job in sep meaning a drop in wages so i canot aford a decent set of throttle bodies.

What spec cams? Pretty wild I am guessing?
What compression are you aiming for?

If that is a genuine spec, bike bodies are a waste of time. Get proper stuff from SBD.

am i right in saying tho's 750 tb's are no way near big enough bore for his engine? tbh why you didnt go for hayabusa ones i dont know

I was thinking that thay might be a bit small but its a trial and eror thing trying diverant thing out. I also hav a set of honda cbr 1000 which have a 43mm bore but thay dont indervitualy space out like the gsxr ones.

But the rail isnt bolted down & the injectors arent sealed into the inlet.....

yes that's why im using the bussa ones on mine. there a 50 bore with a 47 butterfly and can space them. here are mine so you can see

What bike did you get them off? Are the gsxr 1000 abd 1300 same bore on the bodies?

they came off a gsxr 1300 and no the bore on the 1300 is bigger
