MK1 Sport front bumper

Hi,

I have cleaned up an old bumper I found;Think it came of a GL but looks the same/similar as the Sport, and it turned out looking nice after i got all the gunk and crusty paint off.

I took my old bumper off an the metal bar inside is much nicer and has little if no rust.Are these to hard to take off and swap with out cracking the plastic bumper its self ?

Or can you do away with the metal save a bit of weight (as it does weight a fair old sum) but keep the two rods that fit into your car.

Sorry if this is the wrong section but it's hardly an engine change or loom swap so i took a punt.

No, if you look on the inside of the Bumper Bar you'll see they simply clip in place. Easy swap.
