1. whats the best fpr to go for for 3.8 bar? thats whats needed for std injectors on evo 5? will my mpi intank pump handle that?
2. is a 2" system big enough? for ev0 5 280 bhp-ish
3. wheres the best place to buy evo 5 chips? i remember a thread on mig about sum lad on ebay who does direct copies, altho i dont no his user name!

1)you need a rising rate regulator set to 3.5bar. Your intank pump on p2/evo5 should ieally be an uprated one like a Sytec/Walbro etc.
2) No its not, at least 2 1/2"
3)Beardy on MIGweb sells the copies.

PS: You cant do a LET conversion on a budget, it just won't last and wont be reliable enough.

I wouldn't risk a std pump on EVO5/Ph2

Yes ok your on a budget, but you will have a big bill if the pump struggles and the engine melts.....

although you already have the XE in there, assuming your going to do all the work yourself and you are going to use the F28, I would budget £1000 minimum to get the engine in and running.

Wouldn't fit chips if you are using the F20 unless you have plenty of spare gearboxes and enjoy changing them.

2.25" system is needed at the very least as thats what size the downpipe is.

Webber reg if you can find one, if not I'd only fit a SARD.

Exhaust ideally needs to be bigger as said.

F20 will be ok as long as you don't rag the ass off it in 1st & 2nd! I ran a f16cr fine on p2 for around a year.

You can get P2 copies on ebay for £50 from some french dude that are fine.

i would run an uprated walbro pump (genuine walbro 255lph)
vxr injectors at around 2.5-2.8bar (std early xe reg shoudl be fine if running evo5 boost) then a cossie webber regulator to get spot on.

i would use a 2.5" system all the way atleast joining to the std downpipe.

beardy does good copies of the chips that dont bring up the EML.

dont go hard on the f20 at all tbh mate, on ph2 chips in a mk3 astra we poped 3rd without trying. then lost 5th a couple weeks later. then nursing it around went completely lol.

if you can afford it its deffinatly worth going f28 asap imo

Just seeing the size of the f28 box and input shaft explains why a f16/f20 really doesn't take too well to let torque.

expect a F20 on a LET to last no longer that 3 months if its driven properly, for all those who have run a F20 on a LET for longer than 6 months, sell the LET and revert back to XE, cause you sure as hell ain't using the LET properly!

Just need a spacer for one of the bearings to run the F20 Quaife in the F28. I run am F20 one in my F28.
