View Full Version : F13 box onto a sri engine?

i have just built a 1400 sri engine up, but no gearbox for it..

i have found a F13 box local to me, so what else will i need to get to fit this onto my 1400 engine?

do i need a 1600 clutch/bellhousing/flywheel or anything?

I need to know asap, please help!:confused:

I'm pretty sure that sri's came with an f13 from the factory so shouldnt be a problem fitting it.

also will a 1400 spi starter fit my sri flywheel?

F13 was standard and yes a spi starter should fit but check the teeth

Bolts straight on, even with a 1.3 starter, that's what my SRi engine came like and ran like for a couple of years.

Yup everythings a straight swap. Just make sure its a CR F13 box.

what do you need to look for on the box to see if its a cw before actualy using the box, like a stamp somwere?

CR. The ratios are stamped on the casting on the Box and its marked CR on the underside of the box at the passengerside if you're looking up from underneith.

No, between the Diff Plate and the End plate on the Casting.
