need help, will not start?

hi guys

any suggestions? i have a nova with a red top in it i was taking it out for a spin, it was running perfectly fine and then it ran out of petrol, so i put about 10 litres but it will not start up, it turns over fine and the fuel pump is still working because i can hear it. does anyone know what it could be?

Crap from the bottom of the tank blocking the fuel supply somewhere. Do you have fuel pressure at the bleed nipple on the rail?

dont go out and waste your money just yet, but like dan says, if your gettin fuel out the pipe in the bay and sparks from the plugs, it might be the fuel pressure regulator, sounds like the same prob djshaggeh had on his xe. i dunno whether they get old and give up or die if there run dry ?
