Hi guys

Ive just bought a cavalier sri redtop with 89000miles on in silver.
Its eventually for a track nova im building not for my gsi. :)

Its pretty much mint, bought from and old bloke with everything standard and 12month t&t, but i paid £450 for it!

Is that a bit steep?

Ben

I'd say thats a decent price. Consider that once you put the engine in the nova it will more than likely be worth about 3 times that lol

No leather could be worth £500 if its turbo leather,

£450 is about the going rate if its got T&T... if the milage is genuine then it is a barg, as I have only ever seen one less than 100k. lol

Leather isnt standard or an option, so it has been added at some point. Bet its rubbish diplomat leather though...

Turbo leather is worth £150-200... not £500!! lol Maybe in Belgium?

A few years ago it used to make good money, now as Will said, £200 tops..

You're all ****ing mad!!!

The Red Top engine alone breaks into £600-£700 in NI.

Turbo Leathers can fetch as much as £500 if Mint

And as for cars, heres a 5dr Hatch, still gonna cost €400 to import as an Irish car, then it'll need taxed and tested and its at €1950.

Dod, I've always wondered why cars in NI are so expensive? Are you lot that desperate for Vauxhalls, or does it translate to other makes too?

Might see if I can sell the Celica over there and make a profit lol

First off, I'm not actually from Northern Ireland, I'm a Republican Irish Man, but I do live on the Border.

Jap stuff isnt worth much out here Jack as we get it all from japan in the docks in Dublin. As for the Vauxhall/Opel Cult, they were so plentiful in the day they werent appreciated and now they're in short supply they're more sought after.

But generally most cars are more expensive in Ireland as theres such a high cost of living.

So its not us that are mad, but indeed you!

£600 for a valver!!?? lol

I have had a few Irish chaps buying cav and Nova Gsi's off me for way over the odds and driving them over the water..
