Nova Saloon Group ? or anyone really

I need a new exhaust to put it through the MOT as its blowing.It is only the rear box.Could I put a hatch one on if they fit straight on as the are more easy to come across.

She's a 1.2 mk1.


Hatch ,saloon ,exhaust ,same fit?

the tailpipe on a hatch back box would have to be extended for a saloon.

....but it will fit, yes.

Bear in mind, it will be a lot noisier from inside the car, as the sound will get caught up in the boot and reverberate up through the car.

Depending on the tailpipe design, it will end about 10" short of the rear valance.

I ran a Magnex back box on my 'loon for about a year and it was of a hatch. It did look wrong but I never had a problem with fumes or noise really eventually got it extended but purely for looks
