View Full Version : Fuel Pump quick quest
If you fit a electric fuel pump to a nova on carbs, do you need to fit a fuel pump regulator?
Si
Right thanx so what fuel pressure do I need to be running on a 1400 with twin 40's and is the standard pump set to a specific psi if so anyone know what it is? :thumb:
Im not sure,my mate was going to put a 1300sport engine in a 12spi and he said he would have to use a fuel pressure regulator thats all i know im afraid. Also this should be in mechanical:thumb:
iirc the carbs need a max feed of about 3psi, just check with somebody else first tho.
Any more than 3psi and well you can imagine what happens... :D

You need 3-5psi for carbs.
It depends which electric pump you use, some are low pressure pumps....
