I mostley play GTA4 not on there much, I prefer Team fortress 2 on the PC.

With regards to the Xbox Live, can I chuck on a wireless memory stick like thing and play from there or does it need to be set up?

There's only one wireless adaptor thing that works with the xbox, its a netgear jobbie especially for the job and its about 70 quid.

I used a long ethernet cable from my router by my PC to connect to the xbox. works a charm

Yeah, thats what I use too, it gets in the way but you never get any connection problems, all this wireless stuff is just more things to go wrong ;)

I'm not fantastic on Cod4... I'd say above average though.

I like to play around with different weapons so lack a little consistancy.

apparently if u wrap a towel around your console (no bull****) basically to make the fan run at top speed, then the overheating kicks the XBOX into action)

but dont do it if your gona get it fixed, as it doesnt sound the wisest most healthy thing to do!

that trick only makes it last for a couple of hours then it dies again and is even more unrealible, but if its out of warranty and you're poor happy(ish) days...

Think you can get kits of t'internet to fix it, not sure if it works tho.

P.s. dont chuck it away, flog it on ebay, you'll get a few quid for it...

Similar, its only one red light in the bottom right corner. Makes the graphics go all liney and turns funny colours.

Against my better judgement i tried the towel trick the other night, got another 10 hours gaming out of it but then it struck again. Just going to buy a new one when funds permit.
