hi lads i got a slight prob with my 16v,
when i give it some in right hand bends only exiting the corner my car loses all power asif the pump is not picking up? as i say i doesnt happen in left hand bends which is why i think it may be the pump? i have a gsi out of tank pump on the usual side.
cheers all

could it be a fuel surge rather than not enough? If this is the case then fitting a swirl pot would help.

i know someone who had the same problem with the 1600 16v and this is what he done to get around the problem.

Dan i have the same prob with mine and had it with the last engine too which was a 1600 16v. i had pressumed mine was because i have the pump fitted sideways. its bolted to the area which would be the rear footwell if ya know what i mean. when i go around a corner i hear a noise from the pump which sounds like a draining noise and i guess its fuel gettin thrown side to side and for a few seconds the pump is not putting out anything, where as if the pump was in the direction it should be then fuel wouldn't be moving so much.
but is your pump bolted where it normally would be?

the swirl pot should fix this problem, maybe damaged or a bit of a blockage?

if you fit your pump sideways and infront of the tank u will have more probs with fuel pressure.

have you tried a boost valve, shud make it feel a bit quicker, and also becuz the fuel pressure is higher, it shud keep enough pressure until your out of the bend
