hi again, i have sorted my fueling problems out.......i think lol
the engine can idle fine with a pressure of 2bar in the rail, however when i try open the throttle, it will splutter and cut out. if you gently press accelerator it will rev right up without any misfire etc..
any ideas?? getting really wound up with this now, its just one thing after another

Similar problem on mine was caused by the fuel pump crapping out - replaced with a new 3bar one and all was happy again.

pump can run right up to 6bar plus..the pressure reg keeps it at 2.5bar and then once engine runs with it drawing a vaccume the pressure is 2.5 (all measured last night with guages on fuel lines)
cam timing being out a tooth or two can also show similar problems. on a 20xe with the crank pulley beng 1tooth out it reved on the spot fine and drove fine with a tny bit of throttle. the second u put ue foot down a little bit more it would splutte n be really flat n crap lol..

it wont even set off, timing marks bang on, it doesnt run crap...it cuts out completely lol is their any way of testing an afm?? anyone round blackburn area that could lend me one for a trial on my engine??

going to check ecu codes on sunday, coils fine, new dizzy cap, rotor, plugs and leads. it idles perfect, just as soon as i rev it it will cut out. plugs are black too!!
in that case its overfuelling if the plugs are black

eye i know that, thing is i dnt know why its over fueling, going to send injectors off for testing. would a duff afm cause too much fuel so it cuts out when i try to rev it??
