5 inch rear springs

i remember seeing a topic about lowering spirngs and someone saying they had 5 inch rear springs, but now cant find the topic, just wondering how much they actually lower the car, i can get either 5" 225lb or 5" 250lb ones, not sure what will be the best to go for. help me please lol

Thats quite high pundage for the rear... As there minimal weight

if your gonna have 5" rear springs then you need such poundage - theres little to no room for movement..
I have some 5" rear springs, 225lb i think..
with completely stripped out rear looked like so..

they sound very light to me..... iirc Spanishfly has 400+ lbs springs in the rear.

As i said John my nova was on 5x225lbs springs before i got the coilovers. Not to stiff, but not as soft as say normal 60mm ones either. Perfect for fast road use imo.

faulkner springs will be your best bet for 1.9" id springs

or south yorkshire springs (no website but give them a call)
Ive got SYS springs on my car and they seem springy lol



to go for 5" springs you need to get 2" id springs

ordered a pair of Gaz 5" 225lb spings for the Nova yesterday, should get them in a couple of weeks time as they are waiting on them coming in.

now i just need to get decent rear shocks for the car, anyone reccomend any for using the 5" springs?

they lower the car around 80mm, have a look at the pic wilson_sri posted earlier in the topic, his was on the same springs :thumb:
