How easy is it to remove the MK1 Dash? I got a bit excited drilling the 6cm hole through the bulk head and caught a few wires snapping some:confused:

More work for the electrician at worklol

its Very Very easy, just mainly removing the small parts like vents, switchs etc and then the main 4screws and 2 nuts, just have a look around, and if you have got a haynes its all in detail in there.

its mk1 for a reason...
the mk1 dash is not easy to remove, in my opinion,.. especially compared to a mk2 dash.
Best of getting a haynes or borrowing/downloading one.

I find them quite easy to remove, although they're unusable afterwards :D

Mind you, thats not a bad thing lol

lol at death to the oblong monstrosity

2lsr why not get a grey one and just paint it up black? many people have done it and it seems to be a good idea. Beats paying OTT money for a GSi dash that's missing a glovebox lid and probably has holes for a phone holder lol
