View Full Version : Decisions...
Currently thinking of getting a toy, but cant decide just what to get, main options are...
Evo (any)
E46 M3
VXR Nurburg
Just been bored and done an insurance quote for the VXR and was only £449!!! Wish i hadnt done that really!
Will only be used rarely as got a derv for work and will just be hidden in the basement for 5 days a week so running costs arent really a consideration.
What you reckon???

very nice choicecs youve made there, they do actualy go in that order for me as the evo 5/6 is one of my all time greats finding a nice unmolested example is a challenge in itself, the VXR nuburg is a sweet car and will hold irts value being the model mentioned!. a nice convertible M3,is the obvious choice especialy as your looking for the E46!good luck with buying one.:thumb:
Certainly wouldnt be a convertible mate, wouldnt ever be seen in one, just not me.
Also if one came up could be an escort Cosworth on the list lol.
Id put the M3 at the top of the list. IMO an Evo just isn't worth the maintainance costs next to the Bovarian Bomber.
evo 6 i think, although it would be hard to tear myself away from the astra.

Main reason the BMW appeals to me is that its not turbocharged and imo the M3 is very easy to work on in comparison to the evo, but the evo does have an individual stance.
Not sure about the Z20 LET's not had a lot to do with them but they seem to be lasting the test of time so far.
Ant the cosworth, anyone with a spanner can work on them!
Not sure about the Z20 LEH's !

agreed, a couple of mates own them.... bulletproof
M3 :D
they simply keep marching on, and cornering is much fun.
i dont even know why an astra vxr is in that list..... but of a lower orders motorvehicle ;)
I'd put them in the order M3, Evo, VXR. M3 for the reasons stated above, Evo I like but its just a certain... "hmm" about them, hard to explain really. Don't get me wrong, nice cars, but its just a bit of a chav icon if thats the way to explain it.
VXR, well its a Vauxhall and I'm a badge whore lol
BTW I could just see you in a convertible. lol
What getting fly's in my teeth with my head stuck above the windscreen!
£3k's worth of Evo 3 IMO. Yes servicing cost are high, but dont take it to a Main Dealer or Ralliart dealership. Example, AYC oil change is pish easy on a Evo yet Ralliart qoute £85+vat.
