I don't do lagers etc, I'm an ale man (Spingo FTW), but I have to say I'm quite partial to San Miguel.

Want to try that, i hear it's rather sweet tasting??

Jack
08-07-08, 07:00 PM
Sweet.. yeah, I suppose so. Its quite a light flavour, ideal for cooling off on a hot summer evening or with a BBQ etc. Tesco have an offer on the 660ml bottles at the mo, 2 for £3.

Plus it doesn't leave a taste of badgers cock in your mouth the next day like most lagers do. Not that I know what a badgers cock tastes like of course, I'm just musing here lol

NovaLad
08-07-08, 07:01 PM
Do they only do it in bottles then?

I'm not into the badgers cock either lol.

Doom Bar is ace, but yeah same as spingo in that it doesn't travel. Some shops round here sell it bottled but its not the same as from a barrel.

last time I had some scrumpy I found a hens foot in it!!!!!

For a bit of summer chilling lager, I'd go with the 1664 (with miniature blokes cutting the bubbles), my kids got me one of those Heineken barrels for father's day, after fridging it for 12hrs it was pretty good.

Novalad, you can get San Miguel in bottles, 440ml cans, & draught. but it is best served in a spanish beach bar whilst watching topless german girls playing volleyball.

My missus works for a big drinks company who own Guinness and Pimms and Smirnoff as well as Gordons so I have various drinks in my hand in the summer... our new neighbours the wifey works for Coors who own Carling which also helps!

Party any one?

I have however been sampling some real ales recently - thinks like Waggle Dance honey beer, heather beer and the quality that is old speckled hen and theakstons old peculiar.

the thing is - like with guinness, the next day - GOD - I fart like a horse and can sh1te through the eye of a needle!

Doom Bar is an awesome ale. Missus likes Tribute but that's too perfumey for my liking.

My lager of choice this summer will be Desparado when I get a crate ordered.

I'm a classy kinda chap... so what exactly is BuckFast?

Jack
10-07-08, 09:51 AM
Its god awful gnats urine that monks brew in Devon and is primarily consumed by scottish chavs (seriously, nobody round here drinks it!) - its been on the local news about how the scots are complaining about it as its fueling their local young hooligans lol

Amusing article on Wikipedia about it actually.

FAIL

Buckfast is a mixture of wine, vinegar, furnature restorer and the Heather Mill's Urine. I hear its highly combustable and explosive.

I beg to differ. He is indeed wise.

I've drank since I was 14 and I have a fapping huge perminant ulser (sp) from it. Occationally after as little as one night out, I pass/vomit large quantitys of blood. And I do look after myslef, am pretty fit and eat well.

I had my share of drinking very heavily when i was younger. I just grew out of it. I binge drink once, maybe twice a year at most... but only drink what most people would drink on an average night out every week. To celebrate finishing my accounts course i had a day on the beer with some fellow students and drank 12-18 bottles of lager, dunno exactly... that was on the 20th June. Not touched a drop since... and probably wont until near christmas.

I like your style, no night is complete without at least a bottle of buckfast!!

It's the best drunk you'll ever be, providing you don't overdose on it, then you think you're Mike Tyson!!!lol
