Clunking?

I have a clunking coming from the front when i hit a bump. I had the same problem when i had a corsa. There was no play in the suspension etc.

Any ideas?

Sure its not a wheel bearing? or somthing lose in the engine bay?

either a ball joint gone or the top mount.

ball joints are about £10 MAX each :D

would it still 'clunk' with no play ?

Could do as its on the road with pressure on it etc.

yes they make a load of noise with no tangable play....
