Anyone had experiance with them? Do they fit well enough.
If you have one fitted (I read your thread) I imagine this is why your experiances alignment problems...... If you can find a genuine one (opelclassicparts) etc Id buy it, once fitted I bet it sorts out your problems etc, Nick.

Im not sure if my panel has been replaced before, i suspect it has though.
I had a bump in my nova before i rebuilt it, wasnt a had bump. Was doing maybe 5 mph, but the other car was doing around 20. So think the panel may have been bent. Is there anyway of fixing it? Or is it a case of once its damaged its unrepairable.

Being a nova Its a good possibilty its had one before! If it was only a light bump I imagine a quick pull with a slidehammer or such like should be able to pull it back in to place etc but I imagine you may need the panel repainting etc.

Im 99% sure it has, im sure i seen a receipt for one with the rest of the ones iv got. Everything fitted fine before i had the bump, so im guessing it has been bent.

I have a pattern front panel / cross-member and a pattern front passenger wing and the front bumper 'sags' in the middle and theres not a bit of play in it either...
There a not bad fit depending on what you want - 100% perfection I'd buy original gear

I've just got a pattern one this week. I phoned my vauxhall dealer and they told me it's a classic part so go to opelclassic parts. My mate phoned a day later spoke to a different guy and he quoted me for either a slam panel or a whole panel and cross member. Think it was about £175 plus vat! Looked on a pattern parts website and it turns out they supply my local vauxhall dealer so bought straight from them at £65 + vat (ish). I'm hoping that it will fit ok. I put a post like this up the other week and peoples reaction was - due to the tolerances that the nova left the factory with you could have as much trouble fitting a genuine part as you do a pattern one.
As above, iirc its a 5-10mm tollerance. Its problery had one in the past, just have a look around it and the slam panel to see if you can spot anything that dosnt look right.

I'm pretty sure it has, when I had it the front wings were a very slightly different shade of white, and the bumper had a few issues....
Also as it was some sort of rally car previously, I reckon the chances of it having a bit of a front ender are quite high!
Ive a complete front panel fitted to my mk 2, I made sure it was well lined up before tacking it on and all seem good now that is fitted..
I think in most cases it who you get to fit it not the actual panel!
