Hi i am wanting to upgrade my front brakes from my 1.2 to v6 brakes just wondering if i need bigger/different carriers aswell as the disks pads and calipers?

Yep you'll need the v6 carriers too.

whats a 'carrier' exactly, u talkin about the hub holes the caliper bolts thru ?

The carrier is the main bracket which bolts to the hub with the 2 10mm allen bolts. The caliper then attaches to this.
