Lazy f**ker lol

Expect £250-£300 Easily.

Its quite a task on a small block xe due to the inlet etc.

i'm doing it myself, just wanted a price to show mrs rexy how much it would cost at a garage.

Ordering the headgasket set 2mrw, so head will be off 2mrw and sent for skimming. It needs the valve stem seals doing as well tho. So, the head will cost about £150 to be rebuilt.

yeah, but that 4x4 will probably spill out as much as the Exxon Valdez, & surely your workmates would be able to do it for free in between siphoning tanks

If its in the tigra then its a t*at of a job!

There is no room to do anything! lol

Would be easier to remove engine and do it! :)

Not to sound stupid here, but would it not be cheaper to get a 2nd hand or engine for that matter?

Ok if the engine is in a corsa / tigra its an absolute ****hole to do and your lucky if you can get it done in a day ( and i have done loads of them as other normal garages wont touch them.)

Head gasket on a xe/let in a nova is 100 times easier and you can do them in 4 hours but not a small block 16v in standard form.

we charge £350 but most other garages if they actually do it will be £500+

lmfbo, I know they are a ****ing **** as i did my x14xe Corsa sport ages ago... **** me it was a cooooont.

The engine is on low miles so no point throwing a higher miler in there, Just waiting for a nice day. Might nip to a garage anyways today and see how much they will charge lol.
