Sticky idle speed control valve? Give it a good clean mate, that would be my first place to try

i only just realised that lol just been to have a look and theres no plug to even go into it, and one ot places for a pipe hes been blocked off with a screw and the other end (wich has a pipe) goes into the inlet.

here you can see where the screw has been put in to block the hole, its been running fine for months though thats what i dont understand.

whats the throttle/choke/butterfly mechnaisms looking like.. do they all freely move and return to where they should be ?

damn, what could be the cause of that...

right.. lets break it down, its revvin its bollox off for some reason.
to rev that high it must be gettin over-fueled, what could cause that ? i cant think of anything.
what m8e mentioned before about the idle control valve or something, does that over-ride the ecu into revving it higher ? surely it cant rev that extreme without manually moving the throttle linkage, can it do that ? i dont think so.
ahh ****, im not knowledgable enuff to help im afraid , somebody help him out pls.

it wont be increased fuel making it rev high as richening the mixture actually does the oposite. therefore its getting to much air. have you tried blocking the icv pipe and seeing if that brings the revs down? if it does thats your problem, if not you know to look elsewhere
