do u just change the pinion over , or pinion and crownwheel ???

the way CP describes it u change both, and MC describes it just change pinion

The problem with being old and stoopid is that i forget the details of these things lol!


Far be it for me to contradict the ever reliable MC but I'm almost certain that you have to change the crown wheel and the pinion together as i did the swap again recently. If you don't I found that the cluster wont go back in properly cos the crown wheel is larger.
In any event it isn't actually the number of teeth thats important so much as the meshing circumferences of the 2 cogs relative to one another? In otherwords for a geared down FD ratio you need a larger crown wheel relative to a smaller pinion?
