Don't think this is a re-post but if it is, I'm sorry, ut was looking for a cheap car and came across it,

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/586299.htm

I'm sure I've seen this in the flesh, if not I've seen a good replica, anyone know the seller?

Think the owner is on CruiseNotts if you want to talk to him. Not far from me but never seen it about.

£10? lol

Thats been sold quite a few times since the manual came out iirc. No tax, and its a 1.2 carb, so meh

[edit] Oh wait, its an undeclared 1.6 conversion. That'll be why there's no tax then!

i hope thats not supposed to impress me im not impressed with the unimpressive car i see before my eyes.

what is the 'right price' ? he obviously knows exactly what he thinks he wants for it but is chancing his luck a better offer will come along.

ask him straight what he wants to sell it for and if he doesnt then call him some names under your breath

it would be cheaper for you to buy a std car and a haynes book and build your own.

Well I offered him a p/ex with an Escort (standard) lol or an Astra convertible without M.O.T, short response, 'no thanks mate'

I remember buying the Haynes Manual produced by Max Power. What an absolute waste of 15 quid.

Ah I remember doing the front brakes on that a while ago.

Front bumper has been changed!

Still as gash as it was when first built.

Err... sure its not to everyones taste but that applies to half the Novas out and about.

As regards the book I thought it was OK. It was aimed at young first car owners and i thought they made a reasonable stab at giving young scrotes a fair idea of how to go about doing some of the stuff that peeps were commonly doing at the time. However, they described it as "the definitive guide" which it clearly wasn'tlol
