Need abit of help, ive got a bad boy bonnet from quadconversions. ( dont ask why ive got it i bought it years ago when they were in ) but im thinking of using it on the 2ltr as its fiberglass and light untill i can buy a carbon bonnet which is £400 .

so is it worth using it as i have it already or leave the gm one on untill i can get the carbon one as the bad boy one are utter gash

I like original but get a pic of the badboy up so I can see how good/ bad it is. Some are awful and some are quite alright.
Will you have to get it sprayed?
How long 'til you can get the carbon one?

Fibreglass one isn't that much heavier than a carbon one iirc.

I'd say chop the badbw0i extension down a bit, as its quite "enthusiastic" on the QC bonnet. Cut out the scoop so its functional and it wouldn't look too bad... and you'd be saving yourself £400 for the time being lol

I'm with RJ on this, but if you really want the CF one for the looks. Then leave it until you get it.

No i wouldnt be painting it as it will be going on a track car, and will be held on with pins allround so will not need bonding on a gm bonnet. And no the carbon one wouldnt be for look as i am going to spray over the carbon to match the colour of the car. and tbh i dont know how long it will be as the company is going to do a carbon boot and doors at the same time so alot of money is needed. and Jack you say trim it down? how much do you mean? would it look anygood if i done this:confused:

Yea it is ment to be, but if i use four pins one on each corner i can just use the skin

By trim it down, I mean so the extension doesn't cover the headlights so much. Although if you're not bothered about looks then meh lol

I agree with razorjack, trim that 'thing' down, just so it covers like 1/2 an inch of the headlights

hmm might do that instead then, was worried if i started to cut it up it would go wrong and one side shorter then the other ect.

the best think imo for marking your cut would be one of these mate, it will actually scribe a mark in the gel coat and give you a diffinative line to cut to, you cant go wrong :thumb:
