seen a 2.0 16v daewoo very cheap, is the engine likely to be any good for use in a nova, or is it some nasty eco thing.
also, it is an automatic, will that affect it??? ie. different ecu for the kickdown etc??

In short, no.

I seem to recall there was a Nexia in TV a few years back, the guy said yes it looks similar to a Mk2 astra, but thats where the similarities end lol

The nexia shell is pretty much a astra mk2 16v chassis, people use them to reshell astra gtes. Mountings may be same/similar but i wouldnt know about the engine.

My mate had a Nexia with a red-top in... As said, all the mounts are the same. Quite a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Aye they're underpowered Ecotecs.

A lad in Belfast have a Daweo Nexia with an LET and is building a TT V6 4x4 or something insane like that. Most of the NI lads know him, Rory Carmad.

Nexia was never a 2.0 so its not any of the 15oo twin cams.

Essentially its gonna be a 2.0 ecotec, but some parts are visibly different.

Theres guys running 600 bhp out of them in the states. Its a GM 2.0 4 pot, so all the LET internals etc fit, as do the F20/28 gearboxes etc.

There is a particular American GM that has a 2.0 8v SEH derived turbo motor too ;) incidently all the parts off it fit UK motors :thumb:

the very first gaywoos in GB were the nexia and espero
which daewoo bought the design blue prints from GM
of the vauxhall astra mk2 and cav.
all the parts are just about the same but made of cheaper
metal/alloy so the heads are crap and blow head gaskets
very often.
i think the first twin cams in the nexias are 1.5 16v ?

i wouldnt bother with them if i was you
